I input my identification card number instead of the passport number when it required the latter, but the booking is already confirmed.
If you messed up your passport information and your traveling international just notify the agent checking you in that you made a mistake on the passport number. The agent can easliy fix this problem just by you showing the passport.
Yes you may also call the airline's reservation hotline for changes as well. As long as your name is spelled correctly it should not be a problem. Now if you misspelled your name that can be a big problem. The airline can void your reservation and charge you for a brand new ticket or charge expensive fees to fix name misspells.

Its all depending on where you travelling to and your nationality, you can travel to spain,italy,poland,france etc(europe) with an ID Card, so realy when you think about it if the info that you have given to book your flight was incorrect then the system shudnt realy allow you to carry any further..
Having said that you can always go back into your booking to retrieve your details to amend it ...
If thats not possible your best bet is to ring up the airlines directly..Would you mind telling me where exactly your travelling to and do you have an id as well as a passport so that i can try and help you further , if i can?

If you call the airline they should be able to help you, You may need either your ticket number ( if it is a paper ticket) or your confirmation number ( if it is an "E - ticket) then explain the problem to them & they will either correct their records or inform you of how to go about correcting the error.
