What English university course is necessary to become an airline pilot?

I am 16 years and old, living in England and studying Maths, Physics and Geography at AS in sixth form.

I've been wanting to become an airline pilot for a number of years now, I'm aware of the requirements in terms of training I need and eyesight etc, but what university course is best to study if any? It would be great if you could tell me the best universities for that course and entrance requirements also.

Thanks in advance.

There isnt really a Univerity for being a Pilot.

It is mainly training and number of Hours

You first need yoour basic licence

Then you do extra training to convert from say 2 engined prop to single jet.

You need a conversion for each type of Aircraft.

You then need to bang in the hours, thats why many trainee pilots offer to pilot other peoples aircraft to build up hours.

You can then start to approach Airlines

i would recommend Purdue University
